Piki Pata Enterprise Limited (“Piki Pata”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides short- and medium-term micro-lending services to boda boda riders in Kenya, alongside fuel financing and fleet-tracking services. This policy explains, in summary, how we may collect, use, store and share personal information when you visit our website, contact us or use our services.

Information we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us and which service you request, we may collect contact and identity details such as your name, phone number, national ID details, KRA PIN information and photographs.

For a loan application or account, we may also handle motorcycle and security information, including logbook and ownership details, insurance and valuation information, loan and repayment records, and information needed to assess or administer the facility.

When a tracking service is provided, vehicle location and related tracking information may be processed. If you contact us by phone or WhatsApp, we receive the information you choose to share.

How we use information

We use information to respond to enquiries; assess applications and eligibility; verify identity and supporting documents; provide and administer loans, fuel financing and tracking services; process and reconcile payments; communicate account, repayment and service updates; manage collections and security where permitted; prevent fraud; and meet legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing information

We may share relevant information with service providers and partners who help us deliver our services, such as payment, communications, identity-verification, technology and vehicle-tracking providers. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or a competent authority, or where necessary to protect our legal rights. We do not describe this as a sale of your personal information.

Storage, security and retention

We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. Information is retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to administer an account or agreement, and to meet applicable legal, accounting and dispute-resolution requirements.

Your choices and rights

Subject to applicable law and any lawful limitations, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate information, information about how it is used, or raise an objection or other privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
